Description

A modern tribute to one of the most coveted vintage dive watches in horological history, the Mido Ocean Star Decompression Worldtimer revives the vibrant, multi-colored decompression scale of the original 1961 model while introducing a true GMT worldtimer complication.

Encased in a polished 40.5 mm 316L stainless steel skin-diver case, the dial is an explosion of neo-vintage color and functional design. Four concentric rings in pastel yellow, green, pink, and blue indicate decompression stages for depths up to 40 meters, framed by a silver 24-hour GMT track and a date window at 3 o’clock. A bidirectional rotating bezel showcases 24 major global cities, allowing you to track world time zones alongside a high-visibility red GMT hand.

Inside beats the advanced Mido Caliber 80 GMT movement, featuring an 80-hour power reserve, an anti-magnetic Nivachron balance-spring, and an independent jumping local hour hand. Protected by a vintage “glassbox” domed sapphire crystal and rated to 200 meters (20 bar), this watch comes fitted on its original quick-release navy blue textured rubber strap.
